The City of Urbana is transitioning to a new eProcurement system called OpenGov for publishing solicitations, and receiving vendor responses. Register your account early to begin receiving email notifications of bid/RFP postings.  Registration is 100% free for vendors!

Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. Request for Proposal - Urbana Free Library HVAC Upgrades

The Bidder/Contractor will supply all materials, labor, and equipment in order to accomplish the HVAC Upgrades at Urbana Free Library as described in the specifications and construction plans showing the proposed improvements in Urbana, IL.

Work shall include but not be limited to removal and replacement of one existing penthouse air handler at the Urbana Free Library, and the addition of a split system air conditioning unit for the IT Room on First Floor. The air handler and split system replacements are separate base bids, and the replacement of the penthouse electrical panel is an alternate bid to the air handler portion of the project.

Invitation to Bid (Solicitation # 2324-09) for Impervious Area Mapping Services

Proposals for the service of Impervious Area Mapping (Section 23-00673-00-EG) including: production of a GIS file geodatabase for the impervious areas on all parcels within the City of Urbana  will be received by the City of Urbana online through the OpenGov procurement website until 4:00 PM

Sealed BIDS for the construction of Pavement Patching 2023 (Section 23-00671-00-PP) including: Class B pavement patching in various locations that will be received by the City of Urbana online through the OpenGov procurement website or at the Public Works Department, 706 South Glover, Urbana, Illinois 61802 until 2:00 PM prevailing time on Thursday, August 31, 2023 and publicly opened and read aloud at said office.

The plans and proposals are each a call for bids containing all requirements governing the letting and performance of the particular contract including but not limited to any applicable requirements for the payment of prevailing rates of wages for labor as required by law. Any questions regarding individual plans and proposals should be directed to the City of Urbana Public Works Department.
