The mission of the Urbana Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in the City of Urbana by working cooperatively with the community and within the framework of the Constitution to enforce the laws, preserve the peace, reduce the fear of crime, and provide a safe environment for all.

In recognition of National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, October 29, two local Walgreens stores will collect expired and unwanted over-the-counter and prescription medications.  Other medical waste such as sharpes containers or syringes will not be accepted.Walgreens Locations: 1801 S. Philo Rd., Urbana and 1713 W. Springfield Ave., Champaign.Time: 10 AM - 2 PM
