Plastic Fantastic: Earth Friendly Printmaking workshop

Date: July 31, 2010 - 8:00am to 12:00pm

The City of Urbana Public Arts Program will host an earth friendly printmaking art workshop on Saturday, July 31st from 8:00 am to noon. The public is invited to investigate the shapes, colors, lines, patterns, and textures of the fruits and veggies found at the Market with artist Traci Pines, as she facilitates a printmaking workshop using reusable materials at Urbana’s Market at the Square.

The City offers “Art at the Market” workshops for all ages on the last Saturday of each month during Urbana’s Market at the Square season. The theme for the 2010 Season is Art and the Environment. Upcoming workshops will take place on the following dates: July 31st, August 28th, September 25th, and October 30th. Look for the City of Urbana tent at the Market on the Square on the corner of Vine Street and Illinois Street in Urbana.

This program is part of the Urbana Public Arts Program, providing opportunities for all residents to engage with the arts in its many forms.
