Urbana Fire Prevention Week Parade

On Saturday, October 2, 2010, the Urbana Fire Department will hold their annual Fire Prevention Week Parade from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Traffic along the parade route will only be obstructed for the time it takes for the parade to clear the area (approximately 15 minutes).


The Parade route is as follows:


Beginning at Philo Road and Mumford Drive, continuing North on Philo Road to Florida Avenue, West on Florida Avenue to Vine Street, North on Vine Street to Illinois Street. At the end of the parade route, the Westbound lane of Illinois Street between Vine Street and Race Street will remain closed to through traffic until 11 a.m. for the conclusion of Fire Prevention Week activities. Please be advised that the Eastbound lane of Illinois Street between Vine Street and Race Street will remain open and divided for 2-way traffic during this time.
