Request for Proposal for Canine Trained in Narcotics Detection, Tracking, & Article Searches

The City of Urbana is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for a canine with various training requirements.

Proposals will be accepted no later than 5 p.m. on June 30, 2017.

Questions regarding the request for proposal should be directed to Lt. Rich Surles at the Urbana Police Department. He may be reached via email at surlesrh@urbanaillinois.us or by telephone at 217-384-2330.

The proposal shall include initial training, as well as maintenance training of a canine handler with the same designated canine. Qualification of the vendors shall be made available to the City of Urbana upon demand in order for a proposal to be considered.

CLOSED: Request for Bids: Concrete Sidewalk Repair Project

Sealed BIDS will be received until 2:00 P.M. prevailing time on May 24, 2017 and opened and read aloud publicly at 2:02 P.M. prevailing time on May 24, 2017 at the office of the City Engineer, 706 South Glover, Urbana, Illinois, 61802 for the 2017 CONCRETE SIDEWALK REPAIR PROJECT (City Section 16-00563-00-SW) furnishing of all materials, equipment and labor necessary complete the removal and replacement of existing concrete sidewalks with new portland cement concrete (P.C.C.) sidewalks. Work shall also include curb and gutter replacement, driveway replacement, traffic control, restoration, and all other work related to the completion of the project. All of the sidewalks and streets under this project belong to the City of Urbana.

Each BID must be accompanied by a BID BOND payable to the City of Urbana in the amount of five percent of the total amount of the BID. The Bid Bond of the three lowest bidders for the CONTRACT will be held until receipt of a signed CONTRACT and CONTRACT BOND. All other BID BONDS will be returned after comparison of the BIDS.

Sealed Bids will be received until 1:55 P.M. prevailing time on APRIL 25, 2017 and opened and read aloud publicly at 2:00 P.M. prevailing time on APRIL 25, 2017 at the office of the City Engineer, 706 South Glover, Urbana, Illinois, 61802 for the 2016 Storm Sewer Cleaning & Televising Project (City Section 16-00569-00-SR), which includes furnishing of all materials, equipment and labor necessary to clean and televise approximately 26,800 lineal feet of storm sewer ranging in size from 6-inch to 60-inch diameter and remove debris from two storm screens. Specific tasks include water jet cleaning and tree root sawing; debris removal and disposal from storm sewers, manholes, inlets, storm screens; and closed circuit televising and digital recording and internal inspection of sewer pipes.

All of the storm sewers under this project belong to the City of Urbana.

Closed: Request For Proposal for a Guaranteed Energy Savings Project RFP #1617-10

Sealed proposals for a Guaranteed Energy Savings Project will be received at the office of the City of Urbana Director of Public Works, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, Illinois 61802 until 1:50p.m. on June 2, 2017 and publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. at said office.

The City is requesting qualified providers to propose energy conservation measures through a guaranteed energy savings contract, in accordance with 50 ILCS 515 et seq., from interested Energy Services Companies (ESCOs) which are capable of providing comprehensive energy management services and energy-related capital improvements to the facilities owned by the City and the Urbana Free Library.

In accordance with disclosure requirements contained in 50 ILCS 515/25, the City hereby states that no ESCO participated in the preparation of this request for proposal.  The City received technical assistance from the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity’s Energy Performance Contracting Program.
