- ENERGY STAR certifies the most energy efficient buildings in the United States (top 25%).
-Rental rates in ENERGY STAR certified buildings are $2.40 per square foot higher while occupancy rates are 3.6 percent higher in ENERGY STAR certified buildings when compared to similar buildings.
-ENERGY STAR certified buildings use, on average, 35 percent less energy than similar buildings nationwide - LEED provides a certification for buildings with high performance in energy, water, and waste collectively.
-Rental rates in LEED certified buildings are $11.33 per square foot higher while occupancy rates are 4.1 percent higher in LEED certified buildings when compared to similar buildings
-LEED buildings exceed code requirements in energy use and water use. - Passive House certifies buildings that stay below an energy use per square foot threshold.
- WaterSense labeled new homes are designed to reduce residential water use indoors and out. Compared to a typical home, a WaterSense labeled new home can save a family of four 50,000 gallons of water a year or more.
