City Clerk's Office
Due to the Governor's Stay at Home order to help combat Covid-19, the City Clerk's Office has minimal staff and reduced office hours. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30am - 12:30pm and 1 - 4pm. Please submit all FOIA requests via the City's webpage, at the link shown below.
The City Clerk's mission is to provide professional records management, meet all legal notice requirements for meetings, serve as clerk to the City Council and to assist the County Clerk in conducting elections.
The currently elected City Clerk is Charles A. Smyth.
The City Clerk serves as lead FOIA officer for the City of Urbana and the City Clerk’s office is the starting point for FOIA questions and requests.
