Our mission:  The Urbana Public Works Department promotes growth in the City of Urbana by maintaining, constructing and improving the City's infrastructure.  We preserve the quality of life for the citizens, visitors, businesses and government agencies (both within the City and in the surrounding areas).  Our department strives to provide prompt and courteous service in a professional, efficient and cost-effective manner to safeguard the safety, health and welfare of those we serve.

Non-profit organizations seeking funds to operate social service programs benefiting Urbana residents are welcome to apply to the Consolidated Social Service Funding (CSSF) Pool.  Funds may be used for both services to clients and program operating costs. The application is posted below in both Microsoft Word and PDF versions. Completed applications will be due on April 7, 2017 at 4:00pm. Please note for the PDF version of the application that the text can become very small if the fillable boxes for the narrative questions are completely filled.

The cities of Urbana, Champaign, Rantoul and Champaign County invite General Contractors and Sub-Contractors interested in participating in their various Housing Rehabilitation Programs to attend a free informational breakfast meeting on February 24, 2017 starting at 7:30am, El Toro, 2561 West Springfield Avenue, Champaign. CLOSED The Urbana Home Consortium is soliciting proposals from qualified organizations, for programs and projects that will seek to increase the supply of affordable housing available to low- and moderate- income households in Urbana, Champaign, and unincorporated Champaign County. The selected proposal(s) will be funded through HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds received by the Urbana HOME Consortium.
