Do you have a rental home?
The City of Urbana requires the annual registration and payment of a fee for all rental properties in the City. The fees are located in the Schedule of Fees.
Urbana recently launched a new online system for Rental Registration using a cloud-based program called Citizenserve.

Updates in the City of Urbana
Frasca International, Inc. - located in north Urbana - has been awarded a contract from the US Navy to build ten on-ground helicopter flight simulation training devices. Frasca will serve as a subcontractor to FlightSafety (located in Colorado) for the $73 million military contract, the largest contract received by Frasca to-date. Frasca will construct the devices over the next two years.
The Idea Store, a recycle craft goods retail store, has announced their opening in Lincoln Square Mall on October 24th 2018. The move will allow the store to expand their offerings.

PHILO ROAD BUSINESS GRANTS The City has expanded the Business Grants program to include the Philo Road Business District in concert with the 2018- 2021 City Council and Mayor Priority #6, to make southeast Urbana an economic priority, with an emphasis on the Philo Road Business District. In FY18, there will be up to five, $1,000 opening grants available for new and expanding businesses including retail stores, restaurants, creative industry, or any minority or female-owned business. The Urbana Free Library and Urbana Public Arts Program are jointly sponsoring The Young Artist's Studio, workshops this summer in the Urbana Free Library's Children's Library offering art-making for children ages 5 and up (or younger with an adult helper)! Join us for the next installment of our Young Artist’s Studio, featuring local artist, Gayathri Menokee! Youth participants will create their own zentangle through a guided exercise using pens, paper, and their own imaginations! Each participant will have a zentangle design to bring home by the end of the event! All events in the series are free and open to the public! Arts supplies are provided. Dress comfortably and ready to roll up those sleeves!
