2016 Champaign-Urbana International Humanitarian Awards - September 8, 2016

The cities of Champaign and Urbana, along with the Champaign-Urbana International Humanitarian Awards Committee have selected the recipients of the 2016 Champaign-Urbana International Humanitarian Awards.  The award recipients will be honored on Thursday, September 8th, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1501 South Neil Street, Champaign.  A receiption will begin at 5:45 p.m. and the dinner program will begin at 6:30 p.m. 

This year, two organizations and three individuals will be honored: 

Individual Awards:

Dr. Omar Al-Heeti - Humanitarian Relief

DoMonique Arnold - Human Rights

Leanna Cossman - Humanitarian Relief 

Organizational Awards:

Mi Raza Community Center - Hospitality

Walking With Angels - Research & Education
