You’re invited to join hundreds of fellow treasure seekers at one of the most anticipated events of the season!
Each year, the Friends of The Urbana Free Library hold massive sales of great used books in spring, summer, and fall. You can also browse a selection of gently used books year-round at The Urbana Free Library Cafe and Friends Book Shop. Proceeds from book sales and the book shop support the purchase of library materials and programs.
Members of the Friends have access to a special preview on Thursday evening (electronic devices for scanning are not permitted on preview night).
Not a member yet? Join online or download the handy membership form, which you can drop in the mail or turn in at any Library service desk. Or you can come to the book sale and join at the door.
Members Night Regular Price Sale (Memberships available at the door for $10.00) Thursday - 5 to 8:30 p.m. (No electronic devices for scanning will be permitted)
Regular Price Sale Friday & Saturday - 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Half-Price Sale Sunday - 1 to 4:30 p.m.
Free Giveaway Monday - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Thousands of great books donated by the public
- Sorted and displayed by volunteers
- Sold at prices to encourage reading
- Most items $1.00 or less!
