Report a Crime

Effective January 1, 2019, the Urbana Police Department changed how it takes some crime reports on lower dollar value incidents. Crime reports on these incidents will now be accepted via a web based report form.
This change is intended to make the reporting of incidents more convenient for the reporting person and make more efficient use of our on-duty officers.

Maple Street will be closed between University Avenue and Park Street on Friday, June 18, 2010 from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. to install a sewer service line. The street will be open to local traffic. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Weather permitting, the Urbana Arbor Division will close Race Street between Water Street and Griggs Street on Friday, June 18, 2010 from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to remove a tree at 205 North Race Street.Southbound traffic is asked to use Griggs Street to Central Street to Main Street and return to Race Street.Northbound traffic is asked to use Water Street to Broadway Avenue to University Avenue.We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
