Artist of the Corridor Reception

Date: August 10, 2010 - 3:30pm to 4:30pm

The City of Urbana invites the public to an opening of the Artist of the Corridor art exhibit featuring the work of Alexei “Lyosha” Svinarski.  On Tuesday, August 10th, from 3:30 – 4:30pm, a reception will be held in the City Building at 400 S. Vine Street to meet the artist Lyosha and view his exhibition of photographs, entitled “InFocus: Urbana, Illinois”.  Lyosha’s work will be on display until September 30, 2010 and is open to the public.

The City created an art exhibit space in March 2010 to feature artwork by Urbana artists in the City Building.  The Artist of the Corridor exhibits are displayed for a period of two months.

This program is part of the Urbana Public Arts Program that works to create a city where all residents engage with the arts in its many forms and where artists thrive and are valued.
