WCIA News Channel 3 to Broadcast LIVE in Downtown Urbana!

WCIA News Channel 3 has announced they will be doing live broadcasts from downtown Urbana on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 4-6:30 p.m. as part of their “Our Town” series.
Six local organizations will be featured, plus the City of Urbana, to showcase their services and create a fun and festive environment:
- Ewe Poo Compost Company will bring out some of their sheep
- H2O Salon and Spa will offer free French braiding and temporary color streaks
- C4A (Community Center for the Arts) will have information and performances from their students
- Heartland Gallery will have merchandise and information
- Heel to Toe will have information and products
- Urbana Park District will be present, bringing along the Nature Center's new owl (weather permitting), a belly dance troop to give demonstrations, a fitness boot camp demonstration, and an archery demonstration
- The City of Urbana will have a booth representing Urbana’s Market at the Square
The goal for the "Our Town: Urbana" broadcasts are to highlight some of the many aspects of Urbana that make it special. The live broadcasts on Friday evening are a fun way to highlight many businesses at once and create a fun and festive atmosphere.
