IDOT Construction on US Route 150 Resumes Beginning April 27, 2015 REVISED

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced that work to widen and resurface US Route 150 from Illinois Route 130 (High Cross Road) in Urbana to St. Joseph in Champaign County will resume beginning on Wednesday, April 27, 2015.


NOTE:  Beginning May 4, 2015, US Route 150 will be closed to through traffic from High Cross Road in Urbana to St. Joseph for a period of approximately two (2) weeks.   Through traffic will be detoured onto I-74.  Local traffic will be allowed. 


In addition to the widening and resurfacing of US Route 150, drainage structures will be replaced and new ditches constructed to improve storm water drainage.  Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction at locations where work is ongoing.   While this work is occurring, motorists should observe all traffic control signs.


The anticipated completion date is June 2015, weather permitting.  The contractor for the $6.8 million project is Open Road Paving, LLC.


Motorists are advised to slow down and drive carefully through this work zone.


Please slow down and use extreme caution while driving through all work zones.
