City of Urbana Special Census
If you live in one of the blue areas on this map, you will get a postcard and you need to take the Special Census.
The postcard will have a 12-digit code that is unique to you specifically. Scan the QR Code below, and then input your special code.
If you are unable to take the Special Census online, a United States Field Representative will come to you and assist you with taking the Special Census.
If you live in one of our Special Census Blocks:
• You need to take the Census because your area was under counted during the 2020 Census.
• This is for all people that are living in Urbana in a Special Census Block right now.
• This includes people from any town, state, region, nation, or country.
Here are some ways you can verify an individual is a Census Bureau employee:
The field representative will present an ID badge that includes:
• Their name,
• Their photograph,
• A Department of Commerce watermark, and
• An expiration date.
• They will have an official bag and Census Bureau-issued electronic device, such as a laptop or smartphone, bearing the Census Bureau logo.
• Field representatives conduct their work between the hours of 9am and 9pm, local time.
• You may identify them here: https://www.census.gov/staffsearch/
• Field representatives who do in-person interviews may also call you. To verify that a caller is a Census Bureau field representative, you can enter their name in the Census Bureau Staff Directory Search, a database that lists name and contact information for all Census Bureau employees: https://www.census.gov/staffsearch/.
