Urbana Boots vs Badges Blood Drive

Who will get the most donors?

This is a friendly competition between the Urbana Police Department and the Urbana Fire Department in an effort to get blood donors. These Urbana Departments want to help save lives! Urbana Fire Marshall Phil Edwards and former Urbana Police Officer Preston James have taken on the mission of recruiting donors from their departments. This blood drive is open to the public, and the community is encouraged to come on out the Urbana Civic Center and give blood!

PLEASE HONOR OUR FIRST RESPONDERS by giving blood during the Boots vs. Badges Blood Drive.

Four Urbana Fire Department Staff Promoted

On October 20th the Urbana Fire Department hosted a formal Badge Pinning and Promotion Ceremony at the City of Urbana's Council Chambers.

The following City of Urbana Fire Department staff were promoted:

Matt Ennis, promoted to the rank of Lieutenant
Trent Short, promoted to the rank of Lieutenant
Mike Jannusch, promoted to the rank of Engineer
Jeff Orr, promoted to the rank of Engineer

Urbana Firefighters Local 1147 Annual Trunk or Treat Car Show

Urbana Firefighters Local 1147 is hosting their annual vehicle show in order to raise funds for the Local 1147 Charity Fund. They are also providing a safe and enjoyable venue for children of the community to Trick-or-Treat. We welcome you, your family, and your friends to bring your children out for lots of candy, as well as the opportunity to view antique fire engines, cars, trucks, tractors, and anything with wheels!
