Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. Invitation to Bid #2122-04: Curbside Bagged Leaf Collection & Disposal Services

July 29, 2021 - 7:00am to August 16, 2021 - 2:00pm

Sealed BIDS to provide curbside bagged leaf collection and disposal services will be received by the City of Urbana at the Department of Public Works, Environmental Sustainability Division, 706 Glover, Urbana, Illinois 61802 until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Monday, August 16, 2021, and opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. at said office. See attached documents for bid information.

This contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder considering conformity with the terms and conditions established by the City of Urbana in the proposal and contract documents.  The City reserves the right to determine responsibility at the time of award, to reject any or all proposals, to re-advertise the proposed improvement, and to waive technicalities.

Invitation to Bid: Mathews Avenue Roadway Lighting Improvements (Solicitation #2021-31)

July 13, 2021 - 2:00pm

Sealed BIDS for the construction of the Mathews Avenue Lighting Project (City Section 21-00633-00-LT) including roadway lighting improvements located along Mathews Avenue from Oregon Street to Springfield Avenue will be received by the City of Urbana at the office of the City Engineer, 706 South Glover, Urbana, Illinois 61802 until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 and publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. at said office.

All bidders are required to provide current financial and experience statements or other prequalification documents to show satisfactory evidence of the bidder’s competency to perform the proposed work at the time the Contract Documents and Specifications are requested or picked up.
