Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. Custodial Contract Services for City Facilities (Solicitation 2122-53)

The City of Urbana will receive bids for Custodial Services for the City Facilities. 

Pre-Bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 1:00pm (CST) at the Urbana City Building, Second Floor Executive Conference Room.

Attendance is strongly encouraged as no additional sites visits will be permitted.

Bids will be accepted thru Tuesday, June 2, 2022 by 2:00pm central time.

Requesting proposals for the remediation of mold in the Tepper Building

The Urbana Free Library is requesting proposals for the remediation of mold in the Tepper Building at 209 Elm Street, Urbana, Illinois 61801.

Sealed proposals will be due to The Urbana Free Library on June 10, 2022, at 2:00 PM. Allowable means for transmitting proposals: hardcopy.

There will be a proposal meeting on May 17, 2022, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and a site inspection directly after the pre-bid meeting. Location for above: Tepper Building 207 Elm St., Urbana, Illinois 61801, west of the Urbana Free Library.

The City of Urbana, Illinois will be accepting sealed bids for Urbana City Building Wayfinding Renovations at 400 South Vine Street, Urbana Illinois.

CLOSED-Request for Proposals: Fire Department Records Management System (#2122-50)

The Urbana Fire Department solicits proposals to implement a comprehensive, cloud-based, turnkey, and fully integrated Records Management System (RMS) solution. As its primary function, the RMS must reliably receive information from the dispatch agency via the computer-aided dispatch (CAD) feed and systematically retain and perform data reporting. As a secondary goal, Urbana hopes to use modules of the RMS to manage processes such as scheduling, time entry, equipment, inspections, and training.
