All vendors doing business with the City are required to submit a completed W-9 once they are awarded a purchase or contract with the City. A W-9 document may be found here: http://www.urbanaillinois.us/Purchasing-Forms

Prevailing Wage Act

The Illinois statutes (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) require all public bodies every year during the month of June to establish prevailing wage rates for laborers, mechanics, and other workers under contract for public works projects. By Resolution, the City of Urbana and Cunningham Township use wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor (IDOL). The 2018 resolutions are RESOLUTION NO. 2018-6-024R and RESOLUTION NO. T-2018-06-007R respectively.

All contractors on City of Urbana public works projects and are required to pay at least this wage to employees utilized on those projects. The Illinois Department of Labor’s most recent prevailing wage rates were published an August 31, 2017 with an effective date of September 1, 2017.

Further, should IDOL change the prevailing wages for Champaign County, the amended wage rates apply.

Request for Proposals: Telecommunications System Consultant

The City of Urbana (IL) requests consulting services for a telecommunications system replacement at 10 City buildings. (Solicitation #1819-03)

The consultant will:

  • analyze City telecommunication needs,
  • write specifications for a future Request to procure the equipment and installation, 
  • provide input on the proposals received for that future Request.

All Proposers must register through the Vendor Contact Form in order to receive proposal documents.

The original Proposal MUST be submitted to the Requesting Department at or before September 14, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. Central Time to receive full consideration.

The City reserves the right to waive technicalities or to accept or reject any proposal or combination of proposals based upon the City’s determination of its best interest.

Request for Quotes: Tactical Vests

Measuring/sizing will be completed at the Urbana Police Department by vendor. Only quotes for the complete list of specific items will be accepted.

Request for Proposals: Employee Assistance Program Services

The City is seeking proposals from qualified firms for Employee Assistance Program (“EAP”) services. The City’s EAP program is intended to help employees and their household members deal with personal problems such as alcoholism/substance abuse, family difficulties, stress, monetary/financial problems, legal troubles, family violence and other personal difficulties that might adversely impact their work performance, health, and well-being.

Closed - Requests for Quotes: Purchase of Trees for Autumn 2018 and Spring 2019 Tree-planting Program

The trees can be balled and burlapped, container grown, or produced in ground fabric bags. Quote only the trees that your nursery produces.

Preference will be given to trees produced in fabric grow bags. All other selections will be by best price.
