Bearing Replacement Project on Lincoln Avenue in Urbana

PARIS – The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that work will begin on Monday, Aug. 15 on the bridge carrying Lincoln Avenue over Interstate 74 in Urbana.

The work will consist of replacing bridge bearing assemblies to enhance the life of the structure. During construction, a minimum of one lane of traffic will be maintained on Lincoln Avenue. No lane closures are scheduled for I-74.

The overall project has an estimated completion date of Monday, Sept. 30, weather permitting. The contractor for the $79,080 project is Stark Excavating, Inc.
