On Friday, May 5, 2017, Main Street between Race Street and Broadway Avenue will be closed from 5:00 p.m. through 10:00 p.m. for the Urbana First Fridays Festival.
Parking on this section of Main Street will not be available during the event.

Weather permitting, East Kerr Avenue will be closed to thru traffic between North Cunningham Avenue and North Broadway Avenue starting at 9:00 a.m. Friday May 12, 2017 through 3:00 p.m. Friday May 12, 2017 for a construction project being done by BCM General Contractors.
Access will be maintained to properties on East Kerr Avenue and North Highland Drive but no through traffic permitted on East Kerr Avenue between North Cunningham Avenue and North Broadway Avenue. A detour route will be provided using Cunningham Avenue to Country Club Road to Broadway Avenue.
Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully through this and all construction areas. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this project.
Weather permitting, the outside northbound laneson North Lincoln Avenue near West Wascher Drive will be closed starting Monday, April 24, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. through Friday, April 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. for a sewer lining project done by the Urbana-Champaign Sanitary District.
North Lincoln Avenue will remain open to traffic at all times during the closure. Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully through this and all construction areas.

The City of Urbana will restrict parking and close several streets to thru traffic for the Illinois Marathon, which will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2017.
Urbana Street Closing Information:
All street closings will begin at 6:00 AM. The entire route will be closed by 6:30 AM. (Traffic will be pulsed across the route when possible). The following streets will re-open at these approximate times:
Weather permitting; the south leg of the Green Street and Mathews Avenue intersection will be closed to southbound traffic at Green Street starting at 7:00 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 for the installation of a 12” water main.
The south leg of the Green Street and Mathews Avenue intersection will re-open with one lane southbound at 7:30 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2017. The south leg of the intersection will remain one lane southbound until fully opened at 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2017.

Weather permitting, the northbound lane on Lincoln Avenue between Iowa Street and Ohio Street will be shifted to the turn lane starting at 8:00 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2017 through 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2017 for tree trimming being done by the City of Urbana Arbor Division
Lincoln Avenue will remain open to traffic at all times during the lane shift. Traffic control will be in place to guide motorists through the areas where travel lanes are shifted.
