The Urbana City Council will hold a public hearing, continued from September 23, 2019, at 7:00pm on Monday, December 9, 2019, in the Urbana City Council Chambers, 400 South Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois, to receive public input on a proposed annexation agreement between the City of Urbana and Henri Merkelo. The proposed annexation agreement is for a tract of land consisting of approximately 1.01 acres and generally located east of North Smith Road, and north of University Avenue. The property is commonly referred to as 2218 East University Avenue and has a permanent index number of 30-21-10-351-016.
A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax increase for Town of Cunningham for 2019 will be held on December 9, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the City of Urbana Council Chambers, 400 S. Vine Street, Urbana, IL 61801.
Any person desiring to appear at the public hearing and present testimony to the taxing district may contract Charles Smyth, Township Clerk, 400 S. Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois 61801 at 217-384-2362.
Weather permitting; South Vine Street will be closed to thru traffic between Colorado Avenue and East Mumford Drive starting at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2019 until 8:00 a.m. Monday December 9 for an emergency sewer repair done by Fred’s Plumbing.
Access will be maintained to all properties along South Vine Street but no thru traffic will be permitted on South Vine Street between Colorado Avenue and East Mumford Drive during the project.

Notice of Rescheduled meeting of the Cunningham Township Board
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Urbana, Champaign County, Illinois (the “City”) will hold a public hearing on Monday, December 2, 2019 at its regular meeting at 7:00 p.m., at the City Council Chambers, 400 South Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois, pursuant to the requirements of Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, to consider the proposed issuance by the City of its not to exceed $7,000,000 aggregate principal amount of Capital Improvement Revenue Bonds, Series 2019 (the “Bonds”). The proceeds of the Bonds will be loaned to Cunningham Children’s Home of Urbana, Illinois, an Illinois not-for-profit corporation (the “Borrower”), and will be used to (a) finance and refinance (by refunding certain prior obligations) the acquisition, construction and installation of land, buildings, furniture, fixtures and equipment for an Education and Recreation Center and a Residential Treatment Center at 1303 North Cunningham Avenue, in Urbana, Illinois (the “Project”), and (b) pay a portion of the costs of issuing the Bonds.
