NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Urbana City Council will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24th, 2015, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, in the City Council Chambers, located at 400 S. Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois, on the question of whether to approve a proposed agreement with 201 Broadway LLC authorizing the sale of a portion of a parcel of real estate owned by the City located at 108 East Water Street, Urbana, Illinois, and further described as follows:

The north 5.00 feet of even and equal width of the South 52 feet of the West Half of the Southwest Quarter of Outlot 2 of the Addition of Outlots to the Original Town of Urbana, as per Plat recorded in Book "A" at Page 16, in Champaign County, Illinois.

Said strip of land containing 342.375 square feet, more or less, all situated in the City of Urbana, Illinois, and being a portion of the property commonly known as 108 East Water Street, Urbana, Illinois, having a PIN of 91-21-08-461-012.

University Avenue Lane Closure

Weather permitting, the outside west bound lane of traffic on University Avenue will be closed between Lincoln Avenue and Goodwin Avenue from Monday, August 10, 2015 at 7:00 AM to Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 5:00 PM for the Campus Circle Project, the new student housing project adjacent to the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

University Avenue will remain open to traffic at all times during the construction work. Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully through this and all construction areas.

We appreciate your cooperation while this work is in progress.

Race Street Lane Closure

Weather permitting, the northbound lane on Race Street will be closed between Mumford and George Huff Drive starting on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 7:00 a.m. through Monday, August 3, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. for a sewer repair. South Race Street will remain open to through traffic at all times during the sewer repair.

Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully through this and all construction areas. Thank you for your cooperation while this improvement is in progress.

North Race Street Closure

Nash Crane Services will be staging a crane on North Race Street between Main Street and Griggs Street for construction activities at 204 West Main Street. North Race Street between Main Street and Griggs Street will be closed to through traffic on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., weather permitting.

Access will be maintained to properties on North Race Street during the temporary street closure but no through traffic is permitted on North Race Street between Main Street and Griggs Street.

Motorists are to observe all traffic signage within this and all construction areas. Thank you for your cooperation.

Lincoln Avenue Closure from Fairview Avenue to Church Street

Weather permitting, the right lane for southbound traffic on Lincoln Avenue will be closed between Fairview Avenue and Church Street starting on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. through Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. for installation of fiber optic utilities. Lincoln Avenue will remain open to traffic at all times during the fiber optic installation.

Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully through this and all construction areas. Thank you for your cooperation while this improvement is in progress.

Broadway Avenue Reconstruction Project Public Open House

The City of Urbana will hold a Public Open House on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Anita Purves Nature Center, located at 1505 North Broadway Avenue, to provide information concerning the upcoming Broadway Avenue Reconstruction Project. The Open House will be conducted on an informal basis; no formal presentation is planned. Exhibits, plans and aerial photography of the proposed improvements will be available for viewing during the entire time. Staff from the City of Urbana Engineering Division, the Urbana Park District and project contractor will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. All persons interested in this project are invited to attend this meeting.

The Broadway Avenue Reconstruction Project has been awarded by the City of Urbana to Feutz Contractors, Inc. from Paris, Illinois. The project award amount is $713,148.05. This project is being funded by a combination of the City Capital Replacement and Improvement Funds and Urbana Park District funds.

Green Street and Coler Avenue Intersection Closure

Weather permitting, the east leg of Green Street at its intersection with Coler Avenue will be closed to thru traffic from Wednesday, July 27, 2015 at 8:00 AM until Friday, July 31, 2015 at 5:00 PM for sanitary and storm sewer repairs. There will be no detour route for this closure.

Access will be maintained to all properties on Green Street during the sanitary and storm sewer repairs.

Coler Avenue will remain open to thru traffic during the sanitary and storm sewer repairs.

Western Avenue Street Closure

Weather permitting, Western Avenue from Lincoln Avenue to Gregory Street will be closed to thru traffic from 7:00 AM on Monday July 20, 2015 until 5:00 PM on Monday, August 15, 2016 for construction of a new housing complex. There will be no detour route for this closure.

Goodwin Avenue Closure

Weather permitting, Goodwin Avenue will be closed to through traffic from Nevada Street to Oregon Street from Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 7:00 AM to Monday, July 20, 2015 at 7:00 AM to complete pavement patching on an Illinois American Water Company emergency water main repair. There will be no detour route for this closure.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the City Council of the City of Urbana, Illinois will hold a Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2015, in the Council Chambers of the Urbana City Building, 400 South Vine Street, Urbana, for the purpose of receiving public comment regarding the following Ordinance:

Ordinance No. 2015-07-077: An Ordinance Amending Urbana City Code Chapter Three, Section 3-43 (Increasing number of Class G-2 liquor licenses for Premier Entertainment of IL d/b/a Flamingo Slots, 1720 Philo Rd., Ste. B)
