The City of Urbana is transitioning to a new eProcurement system called OpenGov for publishing solicitations, and receiving vendor responses. Register your account early to begin receiving email notifications of bid/RFP postings.  Registration is 100% free for vendors!

3) You will need to sign in to OpenGov to access the bid materials.

Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. Sealed BIDS for the construction of the Lincoln & Springfield Resurfacing (City Section 17-00592-00-RS) including hot-mix asphalt surface removal and replacement, pavement patching, curb and gutter removal and replacement, sidewalk repair, and other miscellaneous work will be received by the City of Urbana at the office of the City Engineer, 706 South Glover, Urbana, Illinois 61802 until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Thursday, June 10, 2020 and publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. at said office.  In the event COVID restrictions are still in place, the bids will be read by Public Works staff and broadcast over Urbana Public Television.

Request for Proposals: Grass and Weeds Nuisance Abatement

The City of Urbana, Community Development Services Department, is looking for a contractor to do case by case mowing of properties that have failed to comply with City ordinances for grass height and weed control.  This contract will be valid for two (2) years, with possible extension for third year. If your company would be interested in doing this you must submit price estimates and return them before 8:00 a.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

 

 

The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive irregularities or technicalities.
