LIHEAP Starts August 16

Starting on Monday, August 16, 2021, all eligible households in Champaign County can begin making appointments with the RPC to apply for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). There are no priority groups under the new program year.
In addition, the RPC is opening a new office for appointments at 2009 Round Barn Road in Champaign, giving residents the option of attending their appointment there or at the RPC’s main office in Urbana. In-person appointments will begin on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Appointments can be made online at www.ccrpc.org/liheap. And for those with health concerns, the RPC will be offering phone appointments as well.

Champaign County Residents Urged to Apply for Emergency Rent Assistance Before Eviction Moratorium Ends on July 25
Remaining funding expected to help between 900 and 1,200 households in Champaign County
URBANA, IL (July 13, 2021) Champaign County residents financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic with past due rent and utilities are urged to apply for assistance through the RPC’s Emergency Rent Assistance (ERA) program before the state eviction moratorium ends on July 25.
