#HOME funds the vital work of organizations such as First Followers and Habitat for Humanity. Last year alone, over $120,000 in #HOME funds went to local community housing development organizations #HOMEWorks #CDWeek2021

The need for affordable housing has never been greater! The HOME Investment Partnership Program creates and sustains affordable housing in Champaign County. Crystal View in Urbana and Bristol Place in Champaign both received funds from this important program. #HOMEWorks #CDWeek2021

he Market at the Square returns May 1, 2021.  There will be lots of fresh items, even in the early months, to come on out and see.  Items include (but are not limited to):

From the ground: asparagus, cabbage, cherries, greens, leeks, lettuce, onions, peas, spinach

From the pasture: chicken, beef, bison, lamb, pork, turkey, chicken eggs, goat milk, goat cheese

From the kitchen: artisan breads, donuts & pastries, pasta, honey, hot sauce, popcorn, preserves, salsa, sauces and more!

Young Artist's Studio | Kids Write Poetry!

In honor of National Poetry Month, join Urbana Poet Laureate, Ashanti Files, for a chance to learn about the art of poetry! Participants will learn strategies for writing and using poetry as a tool for self-expression.

Young Artist's Studio is a series of art workshops sponsored by The Urbana Free Library and The Urbana Arts & Culture Program designed to offer youth an opportunity to explore the arts. All events in the series are free and open to the public. The series is designed for children ages 5 to 11 (7 and under with a caregiver). At present, all studio workshops are conducted via Zoom!
