The City of Urbana is transitioning to a new eProcurement system called OpenGov for publishing solicitations, and receiving vendor responses. Register your account early to begin receiving email notifications of bid/RFP postings.  Registration is 100% free for vendors!

3) You will need to sign in to OpenGov to access the bid materials.

Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. Closed - Request for Letters of Interest - Professional Services for 2018-2020 Material Testing

Professional services will include but not be limited to:

  • performing Standard Proctor testing,
  • sub-grade compaction testing,
  • subbase/base course compaction testing,
  • Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) and Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) plant inspection,
  • HMA compaction inspection,
  • aggregate gradation,
  • PCC field testing,
  • PCC strength testing

The Request for Letters of Interest may be obtained from the Urbana Public Works Department, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, IL. 61802.

All Letters of Interest must be received no later than 4:00 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2018.

Closed - Request for Proposals: Boneyard Creek Tree and Woody Vegetation Removal

The City of Urbana will receive proposals for the removal of woody vegetation and trees from the Boneyard Creek channel from North Broadway Avenue to North Vine Street.

The proposal document may be obtained from the Urbana Public Works Department, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, IL, 61802.

Proposals will be received until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 23, 2018, at which time the proposals will be opened and the names and bids of the Proposers read publicly. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive irregularities or technicalities.

Closed - Request for Bid: Urbana Police Department Squad Car Graphics Installation

The Urbana Police Department will be purchasing a new fleet of squad cars after July 1, 2018. We estimate the cars to arrive six to eight weeks after being ordered and graphics installation to begin late September-early October. We are seeking a qualified company to install graphics on the new fleet. The graphics will be the same as the current fleet.

There will be a total of nine marked cars and three unmarked cars. The only graphics the unmarked cars will have are three-inch car numbers on the front and back along with the “Thin Blue Line” flag. The marked cars will not be changed.
