The City of Urbana is transitioning to a new eProcurement system called OpenGov for publishing solicitations, and receiving vendor responses. Register your account early to begin receiving email notifications of bid/RFP postings.  Registration is 100% free for vendors!

2) To access the Bid Documents and to subscribe to Urbana’s postings, visit this page: https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/urbanaillinois

3) You will need to sign in to OpenGov to access the bid materials.

 After you register, you can then subscribe to organizations from across the Country – not just Urbana!

Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. Specifications may be obtained in PDF format below, or from the Office of the Director of Public Works, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, Illinois 61802 for Custodial Contract Services for City of Urbana Facilities.


Bids will be received through 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at the Public Works Department, and at said time the bids shall be opened and read publicly.


A Pre-Bid meeting has been scheduled on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at 1:30 P.M., in the second-floor conference room at Public Works.
