Vehicle for Hire Complaints
The City of Urbana and Champaign are interested in providing consumer protection for citizens and visitors who utilize Vehicle for Hire companies, and do so by regulating the vehicle for hire industry. Both cities believe it is in the best interest of the community to make certain all companies operating in Champaign-Urbana are in compliance with the Vehicle for Hire Code.
The purpose of this form is to be a means to offer citizens, Vehicle for Hire operators, and drivers a process to register their concerns and/or complaints against a Vehicle for Hire operator or driver.
Please fill out the complaint form and drop it off, or mail it to: City of Urbana, Finance Department, 400 S. Vine Street, Urbana, IL 61801. All complaints received will be processed within thirty (30) days. This will allow the necessary amount of time to review all documents submitted, and obtain any additional documentation relevant to the complaint. Please be sure to include anything you feel is relevant, such as pictures, receipts, etc. After a determination is made, the person who filed the complaint will be notified by mail, at the address provided on the complaint form.
