 The City Clerk's mission is to provide professional records management, meet all legal notice requirements for meetings, serve as clerk to the City Council and to assist the County Clerk in conducting elections.

The currently elected City Clerk is Charles A. Smyth.

Green Street will be open to two-way traffic from Wright Street to Mathews Avenue by 8:00 pm Friday, September 1, 2017. Also, the traffic direction on Mathews Avenue from Springfield Avenue to Green Street will be reversed from one way travelling southbound to one-way travelling northbound by 10:00 am Wednesday, September 6. Green Street will remain closed from Mathews Avenue to Goodwin Avenue until further notice.

Airport Road will be closed to through traffic from Willow Road to Cunningham Avenue (US 45) at 7:00 am Monday, May 22, 2017 until further notice. Access to Frasca International, Inc., and the residences/businesses on Airport Road west of Willow Road will be via a detour route from Napleton Way-Anthony Drive-Willow Road. Access to Farm and Fleet will be via Napleton Way.

On Saturday, May 13, 2017 the following streets will be closed from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for the 2017 Urbana Grand Prix Bicycle Race: Broadway Avenue from Park Street to Stebbins Drive Park Street from Broadway Avenue to Central Avenue Access to the Gateway Shoppes from Broadway Avenue will be available. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
