Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. RFP 2223-37: Services to Configure and Test Azure Site Recovery

The City of Urbana is accepting proposals for the “Services to Configure and Test Azure Site Recovery” RFP.

Proposals will be accepted until closing time of 5:00 PM Central Time on May 19, 2023. Proposals received after the closing time will not be accepted.

The City of Urbana reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities.  No proposal shall be withdrawn without consent of the City of Urbana for a period of sixty (60) days.

Invitation to Bid: 22233-33 "Utility Locating Services"

May 5, 2023 - 12:00pm

The City of Urbana will receive electronic sealed bids for the “Utility Locating Services” contract for furnishing of locating underground CITY utility infrastructure as specified in the contract documents for August 14, 2023 thru December 31,  2024.

Electronic bids will be received until closing time of 2:00 PM prevailing time on May 25, 2023. Bids received after the closing time will not be accepted.

Attention of the Bidders is directed to the fact that the City is not required to pay Federal Excise Tax or State Sales Tax.

RFQ 2223-35: Construction Manager for Two New Fire Stations Posting

The City of Urbana is seeking statements of qualifications from qualified firms to provide construction management (CM) services for the reconstruction of Urbana Fire Substations No. 2 and No.3. These services will include pre-construction, construction, and post-construction activities. The CM team will have the qualifications and staff resources necessary to work in tandem with the design team on cost estimating, constructability, material and systems selection, drawing review, and bidding. City staff will select a CM firm utilizing a Qualifications Based Selection (QBS) process. The City expects to elect to receive a guaranteed maximum price and proceed under a CM at Risk (CMAR) delivery method. RFP 2223-34: Sewer Manhole Inspections and GIS Updates

April 14, 2023 - 8:00am

The City of Urbana is seeking assistance from a qualified company to perform data acquisition of critical information related to its sanitary sewer collection system and storm sewer conveyance system to enhance the City’s Geographic Information System (GIS). The efforts will generally include performing GPS surveying, subsurface structure/pipe invert depth measurements, visual conditional assessments of various subsurface structures related to these systems, and coordinating with the City and the Champaign County GIS Consortium to effectively integrate new information into our existing GIS.

Sealed proposals titled “Sewer Manhole Inspections and GIS Updates – Company Name” will be accepted until May 11th, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. CDT by the City of Urbana at the Public Works Department, 706 South Glover, Urbana, Illinois 61802 until the date/time listed above.
