Department Posts

Periodic lane closures for pavement resurfacing can be expected along Springfield Avenue between Coler Avenue and McCullough Street beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 and ending at 5:00 p.m., on Friday October 31, 2014. Two-way traffic will be maintained on Springfield Avenue at all times. Your patience is appreciated while this work is underway.

Due to a water main break, Elm Street between Vine Street and Broadway Avenue will be closed until further notice. Motorists can access the Independent Media Center (IMC) and U.S. Post Office (202 South Broadway Avenue, Urbana) from Main Street to Broadway Avenue.  Access to the Federal Court House (201 South Vine Street, Urbana), City of Urbana parking lot #10-A North, and the Champaign County Courthouse parking lot is available from Vine Street to Elm Street. We apologize for any inconvenience the temporary rerouting may cause.

On Friday, October 24, 2014 the University of Illinois will be conducting their Annual Homecoming Parade. The following streets will be closed to traffic from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. :
