Our mission: The Urbana Public Works Department promotes growth in the City of Urbana by maintaining, constructing and improving the City's infrastructure. Weather permitting, periodic lane closures can be expected on Industrial Circle north of Tatman Court starting Tuesday, March 27, 2018 and ending Friday, March 30, 2018 for pavement repairs.

The Landscape Recycling Center is now open Monday - Saturday from 8 am – 4 pm for the 2018 Spring/Summer growing season.
2018 is the year to spring into sustainability with the help of LRC! If you have yard waste from Spring clean-up, drop if off to LRC anytime during regular business hours. The City of Urbana will close the following streets for the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade to be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018.

Weather permitting, Goodwin Avenue from Illinois Street to Green Street will be closed to through traffic starting 7:00 a.m., Saturday March 17, 2018 and ending at 5:00 p.m., Monday March 26, 2018 for pavement repairs. Local access to properties south of Green Street on Goodwin Avenue will be available by using Goodwin Avenue via Oregon Street.
