CLOSED The Bid Documents may be examined and copies obtained at the office of the Director of Public Works, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, Illinois 61802. All bidders are required to provide current financial and experience statements or other prequalification documents to show satisfactory evidence of the bidder’s competency to perform the proposed work at the time the Contract Documents and Specifications are requested or picked up.

CLOSED Sealed proposals for the furnishing or delivering and installing materials required in the construction/maintenance of the 2017 Oil and Chip Street Maintenance Project will be received until 8:30 a.m. on September 13, 2017, and at that time, publicly opened and read at the office of the Director of Public Works, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, Illinois 61802. *REGISTRATION IS FULL*  PLEASE CALL U-CYCLE (217) 384-2302 TO BE PLACED ON A WAITLIST The fall 2017 electronics recycling event for participating* communities will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Parkland College, Champaign.  All households MUST register online to attend the event.

Weather permitting; East Main Street will be closed to west bound traffic between North Vine Street and North Walnut Street starting at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday September 5, 2017 through 4:00 p.m. Friday September 8, 2017 for a water main repair done by Illinois American Water Company. Access will be restricted to North Walnut Street properties from East Main Street. A detour route will be provided using South Vine Street to East Elm Street.

On Monday, September 4, 2017, Broadway Avenue from Illinois Street to Washington Street, Washington from Broadway to Lierman Avenue and Lierman from Washington to Art Bartell Road will be closed from 10:00 a.m. through 11:30 a.m. for the Champaign County AFL-CIO Labor Day Parade. The streets will only be closed as the parade progresses down these streets. We appreciate your patience while this event is underway.
