Weather permitting, from 7:00 a.m. Thursday, September 14, 2017 through 5:00 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 a sewer lining project will be performed by Insituform for the Urbana-Champaign Sanitary District. The following streets will be impacted:

The North Lincoln Avenue Resurfacing Project has been awarded by the City of Urbana to Open Road Paving Company from Urbana, Illinois. The project award amount is $1,031,669.41. This project is being funded by State Motor Fuel Tax Funds. The project consists of pavement patching; curb and gutter removal and replacement; sidewalk ramp removal and replacement; pavement resurfacing; pavement marking; and other miscellaneous work on Lincoln Avenue. Periodic lane closures can be expected starting Tuesday, September 12, 2017 and ending Friday, November 3, 2017.

Target in Champaign, along with TerraCycle, will be offering car seat recycling in store starting Sunday, September 10, 2017 - September 23, 2017.  If you have an old car seat to recycle this is the only opportunity locally.  More information can be found here: https://www.terracycle.com/en-US/contests/target-trade-in

The design update of a portion of Bradley Avenue in Urbana is complete. The Bradley Avenue Bike Lane Project, proposed in the 2016 Urbana Bicycle Master Plan, extends west on Bradley Avenue from Lincoln Avenue to the western city limit of Urbana.
