As part of annual tree pruning, and weather permitting, The City Arbor Division will close Cottage Grove Avenue between Illinois Street and Green Street completely to all traffic from Monday, October 23, 2017 through Friday, October 27, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. daily. Cottage Grove between Washington Street and Main Street will be closed to thru traffic from Monday, October 23, 2017 through Friday, October 27, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. daily.

CLOSED Pavement Coring will be received by the City of Urbana at the office of the Director of Public Works, 706 South Glover, Urbana, Illinois 61802 until 1:55 P.M. prevailing time on Friday, October 27, 2017 and publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 P.M. at said office. The Proposal Documents may be examined and copies obtained at the office of the Director of Public Works, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, Illinois 61802.

CLOSED The City of Urbana is seeking proposals, for the RESIDENTIAL AND MULTIFAMILY RECYCLING COLLECTION AND PROCESSING SERVICES  to determine the cost for providing professional services for both collection and processing of recyclable materials to residential and multifamily dwellings within the City.    Scope of project may be examined, and copies obtained, at the Urbana Public Works Department, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, Illinois, 61802.

On Friday, October 6, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. through Saturday October 7, 2017 until 10:00 p.m., Water Street from Broadway Avenue to the West side of the Black Dog Smoke & Ale House building will be closed for the Black Dog October Festival. Access to City Parking Lots 1 and 2 as well as access to remaining businesses will be available on Water Street from Race Street. We appreciate your patience while this event is underway.

On Friday, October 6, 2017, Urbana First Fridays Festival will be relocated to Lincoln Square Village. Main Street will not be closed for this event.
